Travelling Made Easier

Travelling light and stress-free is all about efficient packing, which I can only say now after years of practice and getting it wrong! Take a look at my tried-and-tested advice on which luggage to buy and how best to pack.

In your carry-on, be sure to pack a small make-up/wash bag that is only used for travelling, filled with small bottles that go through security, which will mean you’ll be fine without your big bag if there are any luggage delays. Keep an eye-mask in here for the plane.

Try to pay for fast-track anywhere that you can, it is always worth it. Our team can advise the best options; Geneva airport for example has terrible queues, but we also know a few fast-tracks that nobody else seems aware of and we’re keeping these our little secret! We’ll include fast-track as standard for any clients flying in Business or First class.

Walking through an airport in trackies or pj’s, really? Change onboard! Everyone gets tired travelling, but travelling in style doesn't mean a compromise on comfort! Swap into your comfortable clothes once onboard, then freshen up and change into weather-appropriate attire before landing. On the plane I recommend either Wyse London or Sweaty Betty merino wool trackies for comfort and warmth, as well as a cashmere wrap as a pillow or throw. Take a look at my favourite travel products to see which noise-cancelling headphones, relaxing essential oils and leak-proof water-bottle I never travel without!

I always encourage clients to be more eco-conscious as they travel and I have lots of little tips that will help to make a difference. One pet hate is plastic water bottles - there’s no need to buy a new one everywhere you go! Take a reusable and washable travelling bottle and fill it up in the BA lounge once through security in the airport. Another suggestion is taking a face cloth rather than cotton wool pads, which will save on litter if you're using them to remove make-up every day. These are simple changes, but every small decision can make a difference. We work with a number of incredible eco-friendly hotels - contact our team of experts to find out more.

Every time I explore a new destination, whether it’s on an adventure holiday in Peru or a luxury beach escape in the Indian Ocean, I return home full of excitement to share the amazing sights I have seen. Through my own experiences I have developed a love of helping others experience the great wonders of the world; truly getting under the skin of the extraordinary destinations that are at your fingertips. Getting the details right, from which hotel is perfectly located for exploring away from the crowds, to which local guide is most knowledgeable on history or culture or art, is of paramount importance to me. I am constantly seeking out new and exciting experiences and exploring off the beaten track to ensure my clients are receiving the best and most honest first-hand advice.
