New for 2024 we are now able to weave a phase of hands-on volunteering for our clients who are keen to contribute as well as explore.
This is made possible through a new network of dynamic grass root conservation and community projects, bought to us from Milly and Guy Whitehead who run The Leap, a company specialising in volunteer adventure travel. Set up over 20 years ago their extraordinary and unique opportunities are now available to our clients – enabling life changing moments for all involved. From turtle conservation in Costa Rica, to coral gardening in Kenya, to monkey rehabilitation in Zimbabwe, and teaching in Cambodia – their projects are responsible, sustainable and would welcome assistance from 1 day and beyond.
Sarah Mason is a founding member of the Conscious Travel Foundation. Where possible we try to work with hotels and resorts that support local communities and who display good practice as far as the environment is concerned. We work with ground handlers who choose tours and experiences for clients very carefully, avoiding actions that will negatively impact on the natural environment and resources, or cultural practices.
In January 2021, Sarah and her partner Tobey, started a long term commitment to sponsor a five year old boy named Francisco at the Colegio Sol Y Luna. The association educates 200 children and was founded by Petit Mirabel, owner of the beautiful Relais & Chateaux property, Hotel Sol Y Luna, in the Sacred Valley of Peru. This commitment, funds Francisco’s education, food and lodging and health care. Sarah is currently on the board of trustees of the Colegio Sol Y Luna, helping to fund raise for their upcoming projects including the building of a new accommodation that will house 19 children who permanently reside at the school.

Every time I explore a new destination, whether it’s on an adventure holiday in Peru or a luxury beach escape in the Indian Ocean, I return home full of excitement to share the amazing sights I have seen. Through my own experiences I have developed a love of helping others experience the great wonders of the world; truly getting under the skin of the extraordinary destinations that are at your fingertips. Getting the details right, from which hotel is perfectly located for exploring away from the crowds, to which local guide is most knowledgeable on history or culture or art, is of paramount importance to me. I am constantly seeking out new and exciting experiences and exploring off the beaten track to ensure my clients are receiving the best and most honest first-hand advice.
