On the edge of the Senoret Channel, just outside Puerto Natales, The Singular Patagonia’s extraordinary setting amidst breathtaking natural scenery is one of its most alluring assets. A stay at The Singular offers a true taste of Patagonia’s spirit and culture.
The Singular Patagonia has a fascinating history as a former cold storage plan, now over a century old, that was of huge importance to the region and declared a National Heritage site in 1996. The Singular Patagonia remains part-hotel, part-museum, where you can discover local history and traditions.
This is a place that is as much about resting in tranquility and disconnecting from the bustle of life, as it is about reconnecting with nature and becoming inspired by adventures in the wilderness.
Days are spent exploring the local town, nearby caves, traditional estancias and stunning National Parks, including the famous Torres del Paine. From trekking to horseriding, kayaking, caving, cooking, birding, fly fishing and biking, there’s a huge variety of active, cultural and historical excursions to enjoy, as well as a beautiful spa.
All rooms at The Singular Patagonia have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Patagonian fjords, as well as luxurious custom-made furniture, soft luxury linens, heated-floors and bathtubs.
The Singular Restaurant is a celebration of Chilean Patagonia and locally sourced ingredients, whilst El Asador serves a selection of local meats and fishes, grilled to perfection, in a more rustic and wild atmosphere within the former blacksmith’s forge on the property.
Every time I explore a new destination, whether it’s on an adventure holiday in Peru or a luxury beach escape in the Indian Ocean, I return home full of excitement to share the amazing sights I have seen. Through my own experiences I have developed a love of helping others experience the great wonders of the world; truly getting under the skin of the extraordinary destinations that are at your fingertips. Getting the details right, from which hotel is perfectly located for exploring away from the crowds, to which local guide is most knowledgeable on history or culture or art, is of paramount importance to me. I am constantly seeking out new and exciting experiences and exploring off the beaten track to ensure my clients are receiving the best and most honest first-hand advice.
