Le Coucou is a 5 Star luxury hotel in the world-renowned ski resort of Meribel within Les Trois Vallees.
Le Coucou is perfectly positioned on the slopes just above Belvedere, offering incredible views across the snowy mountain peaks and dense forests across the valley. The setting is breathtaking and the hotel, a traditional chalet-style property, blends subtly into the landscape. Le Coucou is the only ski-in/ski-out hotel in the resort.
Along with incredible skiing and snowboarding across Les Trois Vallees, from Le Coucou we arrange incredible mountain adventures, including sledging, pony sledging, ski-joering, paragliding, snowshoeing through the forest, snowmobile racing, and hot air balloon rides. The hotel also has a brilliant Kids and Teenagers club, with a team that put on fun activities for all ages, giving parents the opportunity to have a little time to themselves whilst on holiday.
After exploring the slopes, return to the Spa & Wellness area to indulge in a Tata Harper Spa treatment in a quiet cabin. The spa area is incredibly relaxing and luxurious, complete with a sauna and steam room, jacuzzi, and fitness area with yoga equipment.
Post-skiing muscles will welcome a stretch in the gorgeous heated indoor pool, or in the heated outdoor pool on the terrace.
Le Coucou has been styled by Architect Pierre Yovanovitch, bringing a contemporary and minimalist feel to enhance traditional alpine aesthtetics, with pure lines and elegant materials adding to the tranquil ambience of the private and social spaces within the hotel. Rooms enjoy the beautiful contrasts of wood and stone, with softer fabrics such as wool and leather, and glass and antique furniture.
Most of the rooms and suites have private terraces where you can sit out in the morning with coffee, taking in the mountain views and fresh air. The suites provide even more lounge space, and for families you can adjoined rooms and suites to keep everyone together.
Le Coucou also offers two private chalets that are connected to the hotel. These chalets are perfect for families that would like their own space, yet still enjoy the luxury services of the hotel. Each chalet has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a fully-fitted kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, and an indoor pool. Guests are taken care of by a superb dedicated concierge.
Dining is excellent at Le Coucou. Biancaneve is a bright and cosy Italian-style restaurant; it's always a welcoming space with delicious offerings, whether you’re after a mid-morning crepe, afternoon tea, or delicious cocktails before dinner.
Dine on the slope-side terrace at the Beefbar. Try the rarest meats, such as Black Angus from Argentina, Australian Wagyu, or Japanese Kobe, always perfectly prepared. Beefbar also offers a spectacular dessert buffet, which after an active day outdoors need not be ignored!
After dinner, retire to The Fumoir for cigars and a nightcap by the fire, where you can choose from an impressive collection of spirits and cigars.
Every time I explore a new destination, whether it’s on an adventure holiday in Peru or a luxury beach escape in the Indian Ocean, I return home full of excitement to share the amazing sights I have seen. Through my own experiences I have developed a love of helping others experience the great wonders of the world; truly getting under the skin of the extraordinary destinations that are at your fingertips. Getting the details right, from which hotel is perfectly located for exploring away from the crowds, to which local guide is most knowledgeable on history or culture or art, is of paramount importance to me. I am constantly seeking out new and exciting experiences and exploring off the beaten track to ensure my clients are receiving the best and most honest first-hand advice.
